# What is dMeet

dMeet is a video meeting app with direct calls, private chats and built-in AI: meeting summaries, live translation and search across your past meetings. It works in your browser and on iPhone and Android.

### Privacy

* 1:1 chats and direct calls are end-to-end encrypted. Group meetings are encrypted in transit.
* AI features run on dMeet's own self-hosted models. Your meeting content is not sent to third-party AI providers and is never used to train AI/ML models.
* dMeet runs on the decentralized [dTelecom](https://www.dtelecom.org/) network, with no central media servers.
